4. At some point will you try to catch them and take them to a rescue org?

The kits are a good size to begin to be fostered or adopted. I had a family in my yard. A Mom and 3 kits. I cared for them until they were comfortable with me. Eventually I bought a big dog sized carrier. I started putting their food in it. After several days when they weren't leery and had become comfortable eating inside the carrier and having me around, I just walked up to the carrier and closed the door. They weren't happy but I was relieved. I took them to a rescue organization where they would be nurtured and adopted out. I think they were about 3 months old at the time.

The Mom had moved on at that point, which is what I think they do. Once the kits reach a certain point the Mom no longer feels responsible. I felt sorry for one of the kits because all she wanted to do was be near her Mom. Anyway, I think I did what was best for them.
