(57,077 posts)of the gut to make new ducts from the kidney to a stoma on my abdomen, to collect in a bag. the complication was they had to stop the surgery while they got a hold of the surgeon who had given me a partial resection of my colon the year before and get a grip on what she had done so as to be able to salvage enough gut to make the new ducts. I was in the hospital for three weeks and flat on my back for about a month at home.
I'm sure you would have been there for me, as there are a bunch of others to help, but ol' chin was who I got a hold of. He had sent me about 20 messages asking me what happened to me. I probably didn't post past messaging chin for at least several weeks.
I'm on a couple of other boards and tried a bunch more.
But DU is my home and I KNOW there are a bunch of people who have truly cared for me and and others, it's an experience that's hard to explain to outsider. And it makes me mush even thinking of it. It's more than the great administration, it's about all of us reaching other out to connect with other, and create change.
I appreciate you, too!
