17. well, i need socks after dark, but about 1990 i started major barefooting in warmer weather to 32f.

then 2000 barefooted in WISCONSIN all year. in time i could do 10f easy. walk fast. my blood circulation is great. then my hands were freezing. aha. no gloves til necessary shoes + my hards are now toasty. yes. the 1st few years thru snow harder. but all of a sudden, you can take 'cold'.
yes. i grew up barefoot. yes i hate shoes.
