6. "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell...

... was far more intriguing to me than the 1964 song by Gloria Jones:

EDIT: I'm not sure what my favorite cover-song might be, though. Perhaps my LEAST favorite is "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" by Guns N' Roses. I always mock their version when the singer goes "hay hay hay hay hay yeah", or whatever, after singling the title lyrics. Fortunately for everyone, I can't strangle him over the airwaves.
