7. They seem to be up earlier than ever in our area outside Seattle...

Some people put theirs out immediately after taking down their Halloween decorations. (In fact, the first to go up were at the house that started decorating for Halloween in late August.)

I think the main reason around here is that, while November is normally cold and rainy, we had a couple of weeks of clear weather to begin the month, so people were putting them out while they had the chance. I know that I put my lights out a couple of days ago, but won’t be switching them on until the beginning of Advent at sundown this Saturday.
