70. so I cheated & looked it up because ...Carl Hiaasen

I love his books and have read most of them. I am not going to tell the title because I cheated though.

The book this is based on is one of his YA books; I've read it and really liked it. It's typical Hiaasen with an assortment of bizarre characters, and the equally bizarre setting of Florida.

Those familiar with Hiaasen's books will recall a certain former governor of Florida who turns up frequently. I can't remember if he is in this book, but if he is and he isn't in the film I do not think I want to watch it. He is one of the most colorful and interesting characters I have ever encountered.

I do know he is in at least one of the YA books.
