5. My brother talked me into joining.

I figured we have the same parents so we’d have the same genes. It doesn’t work that way. We only share 48% of our genes. I knew he wasn’t my real brother, we are half brothers. By the time you get to first cousins, you are lucky if you share 7% or 8%.
I’m not a fan of looking for ancestry, lots of relatives I don’t want to claim.
Don’t do it.
