I use to talk to my motorcycle when attacking the twisties.. I would tell me, myself and I along with my

I cuss out loud when the occasion demands it, and talk to the cat all the time.

My husband retired a few years ago, started talking to himself a little, now a lot.

Yes, I find myself doing it more as I age.. I have lived alone, with pets, for 55 years.
