Sometimes Google will find a reference to the name if someone in a thread mentions them--even if that person is not posting, but I guess that they are gone. If you can remember a time period and a major issue that they might have posted about, perhaps using the advanced search to find that thread will still show their reply...

There are several former posters about which I feel similarly. I would love to communicate with them, but alas...
