People thought, and said to me after they learned of my inheritance that I'd waste my money on a new vehicle, sitting around drinkin' myself to death and so on -

Instead - I bought a home, put money in trust for future income,

bought 2 brand new deep-cycle 12 Volt batteries and now have them, and inverter(for 110) a 12 volt cooler for food, water, propane barbecue, extra bedding and clothing, and LED lights at the motel unit I'm living at while I wait to get into the bush road where my property is.

I do NOT take anything for granted anymore, or anyone (sigh on that one).

Even got an extra battery(brand new) for my laptop. Already had 3, but two are getting lazy.

Bottom line, if, no, - WHEN the power goes out(does it way to often in Northern Ontario) -

I be ready.

CC

Thanx to all for their congratulations and best wishes.

I'm a little confused by the term "hydro". I had assumed it just referred to running water. MiddleFingerMom Apr 2013 #7
hydro-electric - term is for electricity from running water, i.e. dams ConcernedCanuk Apr 2013 #9
