(24,853 posts)Would that there were something I could say that might alleviate your sense of loss somehow. I know that's not possible. All I can do is offer to you my most sincere condolences. I can't walk in your shoes because I haven't suffered that loss yet. I can say this though, I live in fear of what you're going through, and I live with that fear each and every day. I live in fear of losing my Dad every day. He's comin' up on 80, just lost his last Brother last month, and each time I talk to him he sounds less enthusiastic about carrying on.
If I were within arms reach of you at this moment, I'd grab you and hold you tight. I'd squeeze you for all I was worth.
Please accept these heartfelt condolences. While there may have passed unkind words between us in the past, at this moment that's all simply water under the bridge.
