(21,046 posts)28. I make a unique chocolate cream cheese pie.
It's unique because my mother invented it. So nobody knows how to cook it unless I give them the recipe.
You cook it on top of the stove in a deep skillet, like you would fudge. Then you take it off the stove, put 8 ounces of cream cheese in, stir well while still warm, and pour it up in a pre-baked pie shell. Keep it in the fridge. The cream cheese makes it gel.
Creamy smooth, delicious and utterly obscene. Needs no whipped cream on top.

It's a southern thing. Sugar, cornmeal, vinegar, eggs, milk, possibly some citrus
