(6,785 posts)What you're talking about upthread, the pouched snuff, is sort of a middle ground between the two. Loose snuff is stronger than pouched because there isn't really much in a pouch, so you tend to use more.
Even a heavy smoker can make themselves heartily sick with a big chunk of Copenhagen. (strongest kind) We're talking a staggering around unable to function until it wears off drunk. So I'm not sure where the idea that there isn't a high is coming from.
The first time I ever tried the stuff was on top of a steam tower in a No Tobacco mill (Before people cheer: That's a Koch brothers policy to keep the employees paranoid about one another) when I still smoked heavily. A good chunk of Copenhagen later, and I was too fucked up to climb the 200 feet back down the ladders to get off it.
So it's like super cigarettes, only you're not giving the people around you cancer.
