Late 60s, early 70s: Davy Jones, Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy [View all]

Davy Jones, Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy

First crushes for sure

Those were the days before MTV and YouTube.

Who remembers going to the store and buying the little 45s to play on their 'record players' and buying the teen fan mags every week. Cutting out the photos and 'pasting' them in a book or pasting the centerfolds on the bedroom wall

THEN ... (foggy memory here) songs such as 'Smoke on the Water' by Deep Purple, 'Space Oddity' by David Bowie, (real rock-n-roll) etc crept into my consciousness - and Davy, Bobby, and David were left behind ....

p.s. I wish I still had The Beatles sweatshirt that I got from Santa Claus when I was around 8 years old and The Monkees metal lunch pail and thermos bottle - they might be a pretty penny now-a-days
