who were taking care of our chickens came by one evening to close up the hen house and discovered that about 20 chickens had vanished. No feathers, no blood, no sign of what had happened. The rest were huddling under the lilac bush and had to be shooed into the hen house. We think there must have been a bunch of raptors passing over on their way south.

I've lost one or two over the years, but nothing like this. I'm just crossing my fingers for Spring.
