It's figurative, not literal. The BBC used to use the Albert Hall to illustrate large amounts of something such as crowd size. They'd say things like "there were enough demonstrators to fill two Albert Halls". Lennon needed a line in the lyrics and this BBC usage of the Albert Hall came to mind.
