My guy is just a big goofball, but he does at least look scary. And he does certainly sound the alarm quite well if he thinks anything is wrong. As he's never acted aggressively directly with a person, I don't actually know what would happen if someone actually made it into the house.

People we invite in only get "attacked" by his slobber and hair.

I joined in 2002. At that point in my life I was dealing with my mother's terminal illness. Looking back on it now, I can see that I was filled with a lot of anger over that (not at my mother, but at the situation with the illness). I channeled a lot of that anger here, in very toxic way at times.

I thought I was angry about politics, and, that was certainly true to an extent, but there was a lot more going on than just that.

I cringe now looking back on how I acted on these boards those days.

But, I've done a lot of growing up since then and I hope I've become a better DUer for it....
