(90,762 posts)In the book Jaime sees her for what she is - at least a little. More than a little.
I think Jaime needs someone like Brienne but she's far too good for him.
House Tully. Still not convinced Blackfish dies. That look that passes between Edmure and his uncle is saying something - just don't know what exactly.
Jaime allows Brienne and Pod to escape. Archers could reach the boat had he called them.
Edmure would be forever hated for handing his uncle over. It is the same as kinslaying - which is a no no among those Houses still with honor. (which are few right now)
I wonder if it will be Brienne that kills Jaime in the end? (for the show)
As for the books, well....she is around for what very well could be his death. It's currently a question mark. I don't think he dies though, at that point and time - in the books.
If Daenerys and Tyrion and the Unsullied win the battle, they will have ships.
Varys can get more in Westeros. While he's doing other things.
I enjoy the Hound's humor and his current sense of loyalty and right and wrong, but I can't forget what he did to the boy.
He helped Sansa, no denying. He took care of Arya, no denying - but he was Joffrey's willing butcher. I can't forget that.
I much prefer him to his brother, however. If only Oberyn Martell wasn't showboating, the Mountain would be dead already.
I really like Dondarrion. I hope the Hound goes North with Beric and his group. Sansa could use him and he would die for her - and probably will.
I am thrilled the Waif dies. Arya had it all planned out - get chased, go to the spot she hid Needle - kill the Waif. Note how she honors Syrio Forel with the placement of Needle at her forehead - and then lobs off the flame. Arya doesn't need to see to fight.
Her first teacher was the first to teach her that. Fight with your ears. Maybe she wasn't good with a stick, but she's just fine with Needle.
Course, Arya wouldn't kill "Jaqen H'ghar" and I don't it because she couldn't - I think it because of their shared past.
He micro-smiles and nods - he approves.
I adore the Arya character. Should she eventually die I will be crushed.
