13. Sometimes children bring out a wicked side in us

I remember telling my granddaughter about the origins of hair shampoo. An island why off in the east has a strange animal called Shams that do nothing but hang in trees and eat leaves all day. Then at night they poo and poo and poo. Natives gather up this poo and mix it with the milk of their native cows to produce sham-poo cream . Once a year big ships come and fill up their tanks with the Sham-poo and take it to New York where they bottle it for hair cleaning.

I won't go into the story I told her about where baby oil came from.

After awhile, my granddaughter would look at me skeptically and ask her grandmaw, "Is that true, Grammy?"

Good times.
