My "whole house" DVR includes wireless receivers on sets we didn't want to run new cable for. It's all part of the cable system so we can watch anything on those TVs that we watch on the other TVs. Live or recorded and it can be different channels from what's playing in the other room. (Wireless set has menu and guide just like the main one in the living room. I can choose live TV, recorded stuff from any DVR in the house, any of the on-demand or PPV channels I get). I have Brighthouse but I know other cable companies do it too.
