that goofy Jimmy Olsen and Noelle somebody as Lois Lane! By the time Adam West came along, it was purely for laughs but I really enjoyed that show, too!

As I said, I'm no expert!! But I think you have hit upon something--what I "liked" about those superhero shows was their immature, silly, play-it-for-laughs aspect!
