Don't worry about the small stuff.

I live in a Red area as well. In my endeavors I find there is very little political talk or religious discussions. Yes you may run into a rabid Trumpster or 2, but most people understand politics is not suitable for work. If someone says something just walk away from the conversation. Say you have use the restroom, or get a cup of coffee or ask a question to change the subject, like "where's the best place around here to go for lunch". Don't be baited. You're not going to change anyone's mind and you'll just get frustrated. You don't have to react to every comment.

But my best advice is just be yourself. Make friends with people you're comfortable with and enjoy being around. Good luck.

P.S. Didn't understand this comment you made.
"Someone called in Looking for answers to a question but was speaking Spanish. I said Hablas Ingles? and did my best to help him in the most elementary Spanish and English I could. I got glared at. "

Was this in another job? Who glared at you?
