5. Cocteau Twins - Wax and Wane from Garlands

Just looked through top 100 albums of 1982...nothing really stood out for me as far as really popular stuff - so I went for the fringe (and a band that I've loved for years - though Garlands is not at all their best stuff)

this is pretty out there, strange stuff (just like my music tastes - still, at 61!)
