Originally, that sleeve was straight black and white ... and the way that you actually revealed those colors ... was to take a cotton ball or paper towel, dampen it, then lightly rub the image ... and there's kind of embedded ink in the sleeve, so when you get it wet, all those colors came out.

They didn't announce it or anything, someone just figured it out (afaik) ... I had that album for like 12 years before someone showed me 'the secret' while I was in college ...

Are both sides already colored? If not you could do the same on the other side of the sleeve.

EDIT: BTW I just found my 'spinner' copy of LZIII ... one of the pics of Plant you can pull up in one of the holes in the middle/right, he looks HELLA BAKED ... lol ...
