I also think Rick's vocal is pretty Floyd-like here, in particular, it sounds Gilmore-esque to me. Money is the first comparison that comes to mind (it having come out in the prior year on DSOTM) but some of Dave's later singing reminds me even more of Rick's here. It's also exactly the kind of song Waters would've written around then, thematically. And then he kinda did so in 1979 with Another Brick in the Wall Part II.

Also 'Rick' was the name of Floyd's keyboardist. Both bands are Prog-ish British bands who's heyday's coincide (Breakfast in America and The Wall both being 1979 for example), both split acrimoniously in the early 1980's because the two leaders couldn't get along.

In both cases, at least at the time of the splits, the Roger's got all the credit for the greatness of the bands work.

Lotta parallels in my mind, actually
