B&H Photo, Leica X1 Photo Safari [View all]

Went on a Photo Safari with B&H Photo and Leica this week, we were given a list of clues of things to shoot and different shooting techniques, oh yeah, and a Leica X1 to shoot with.

I have to say that there is a whole lot that I like about this camera and there are a couple of things that for a $2,000 camera are pretty annoying such as the shutter lag which is so long it makes the “decisive moment” into the decisive best guess. On the plus side the camera size matched with the APS-C sensor makes this a great street shooter, I only wish I had a bit more time with it.

Some of the things they were looking for was a Triptych, a Bokeh shot, an environmental portrait of a skate guard, a pan shot, the Grace Building and the NYPL Lions
