Any suggestions for a reasonably priced water proof digital camera? [View all]

My family is going to attend Jean-Michel Cousteau's family camp on Catalina island. Snorkeling will be a highlight of course.
A local dive shop has one for $300, but that is a bit pricey for a camera that I will use only every couple of years.
