Time to ban fireworks in California [View all]

The S.F. Chronicle reported that over 100 July 4th fires in San Francisco alone were caused by illegal fireworks.

In Contra Costa County, firefighters responded to 50 fires between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., a volume so extreme that by 10 p.m., they could only provide one engine for each response.

Ban all sales. Ban nightly displays. Period. The state is a tinderbox. We don't need the pollution.
