8. When I lived in Lafayette I remember browsing Rasputin's in Berkeley.

On Telegraph Ave IIRC. Awesome vinyl & CD collection. There was also a Rasputin's in the East Bay, by the Concord mall. At that time I probably bought about 90% of my CDs from those 2 locations.

Man, I miss the arts & crafts fairs they had every year before Christmas. They closed several blocks of the north end of Telegraph (to the university) & the street was full of vendors of cool hand-made items. I always found great unique Christmas gifts there, & well as items for around the house.
