In the middle of a block — we had a parking space in the back accessible by alley. Foolishly, we didn’t move our car before the storm, and didn’t think much about it until a couple days later when we realized that a) the city doesn’t plow alleyways, and b) we were running out of food. With nowhere to buy groceries within walking distance, we had to dig out the entire alley — 2-3 feet of snow deep — from the center of the block all the way to the street to get the car out. Not fun!
