3. I know two women who had abortions at about 22 weeks

In both cases the babies had been planned and were very much wanted.

In both cases it wasn't until that point that horrible anomalies became clear on the ultrasounds. One set of parents were told the baby wouldn't make it to term and in the other case that she might go to term but the child would never take a breath as the lungs were not developing at all & there were several other problems.

Both mothers chose to have labor induced so they could have that experience and hold their children. One family donated the baby's body in the hopes that it could would help research into her anomalies.

It was a terrible experience but it would have been worse had they been forced to continue the pregnancies knowing there would not be a happy ending.

I hope every last one of the fools who support or voted for this law go through something similar. And, yes that is an awful thing to wish on anyone, but I'm fed up with these sanctimonious assholes who give no thought to the people they are hurting.
