So I just heard on the 10 o'clock news that Minnesotans will no longer be eligible for extended [View all]

unemployment benefits. This is because the state's official unemployment rate has dropped below 6.5%.

This would be good news if we all didn't know the actual unemployment rate is higher - it's bad news for anyone in the state who needs those benefits.

I wonder how much the fact that more and more people have hit even the extended benefit limit has to do with the supposed drop in unemployment?
