5. The counties around Richmond are red, while Richmond itself is blue. My county is def

red, although this election had brought out some Dems who have obviously been hiding. Obama won this county, mainly because every formerly discouraged black resident got galvanized to come out for a historic vote. But otherwise, it's red.

Another positive development is that the Dem candidates all had yard signs to distribute!!! I've been screaming about that to the candidates over the years, and it looks like other people have been asking for yard signs too. In this off-year election, I actually saw lots of yard signs for our candidates. It was beautiful.
