1. It would have to be a LOT better than 8 to be worth it.

As I said about 8. It does install, boot, and shut down faster-those are its good points. Having to go through extra steps to change or even access some settings is not an improvement. Having the OS geared to touchscreen on a regular computer is a PITA.
