23. He released, reluctantly, his full 2014 tax return, we're waiting for the 2015 tax return...

May 2016

I forget the details now, but it showed REPORTED income of about $205K, but real estate taxes and mortgage interest that indicated his true net worth could be much higher than he wants us to believe.

That is why he hasn't released the 2015 returns yet, even though Jane promised to release them two weeks ago today, on the tax filing deadline.

It's also probably why he wants to delay filing his Personal Financial Disclosure to the FEC until the end of June, which is after the last primary.

Speculation is that the 2015 tax return may show that their income last year (which includes the first 9 months of his campaign) had a huge increase, and that financial disclosure will show that their net worth is now much higher than that $300-850K number from his May 2015 financial disclosure.

No one begrudges them anything, like everyone else they're entitled to do what they can to improve their financial standing, but when the cornerstone of his campaign is being an average American and, in his words words "one of the poorest members of Congress", and he uses that to campaign and raise money for that campaign, the fact that his net worth is likely much higher than he's telling us is hypocritical.
