Should Hillary contest Universal Health Care in the primaries? Yep! [View all]
In 2008 Hillary tirelessly pointed out what was wrong with Barack Obama's voluntary care. She knew Mandates were not popular but she was absolutely correct:
The difference between Senator Obama and myself is that I know, from the work Ive done on health care for many years, that if everyones not in the system we will continue to let the insurance companies do whats called cherry picking--pick those who get insurance and leave others out.

This time round, her opponent isn't settling for unworkable, he's shooting for impossible. In his own words:
Sanders: Single Payer Never Had A Chance
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) reminded the progressive media gathered on Capitol Hill today that single-payer health care reform was dead before it started in the Senate.
"It would have had 8 or 10 votes and that's it," he said, addressing a topic central in the minds of many who the bloggers and left wing talk show hosts gathered for the 4th annual Senate Democratic Progressive Media Summit in Washington reach everyday.

Sould Hillary contest dead-in-the-water health care plans that might get ten votes in the Senate. Ha!
