Thanks for your reply, leveymg. Certainly you are entitled to your opinion. With respect to regime changes around the world, it is clear that there is a democratic contingent that doesn't believe in US meddling overseas. In some instances, where non-oppressive regimes are concerned, that is certainly warranted. However, in other cases, I believe a case can be made for US intervention. I would classify Syria under Assad as an oppressive regime. It also is a terrorist group supporter. That has been documented. Irregardless, it is not a pretty picture about what is going on over there right now. About 100,000 dead in nearly 2 years fighting and if Assad remains in power those numbers will certainly increase. Be that as it may, there is always room for debate with respect to foreign affairs.
