(90,562 posts)I've not seen a single HRC supporter say the same. HRC supporters are Democrats. Don't bother to lecture me about "loyalty oaths" -- there's no loyalty oath. There's just people trying to get things done that will benefit as many others as possible.
If every time your candidate doesn't make it out of the primary process you threaten to take your marbles and go home, how will you ever get anything done at all? The answer is, you won't.
I've seen HRC supporters at DU, one after another, hold out their hands in fellowship and future reconciliation, only to be metaphorically spit on, bitch-slapped, and generally told to go to hell. I've seen more than one old timer at DU with tons of political experience on the local level trying to tell the inexperienced BS enthusiasts how it is done so that they can get where they want to go, with the same sad results.
Hey, I was one of those people myself, promising to link arms and sing kumbayah once the primaries are over. But I am tired of the toxic replies. So forgive me if I am out of patience with people who swear they will never never never work within the system because what they want to do is burn the system down and start over.
How can we "need" people who were never going to help Democrats in the first place?
All the Sanders supporters who really will be there for Democrats -- just say the word, and we'll be there for you too. Just remember: you let the ones I'm talking about speak for you for a year all over DU.
JURY: THIS IS IN THE HILLARY GROUP
