KEY BISCAYNE, Fla., Sept 23 (Reuters) - Nine Cubans came ashore in a homemade boat on a south Florida beach on Tuesday afternoon saying they had been at sea for 10 days, according to eyewitnesses.

"They were very excited when they got onto the beach," said Cristina Plihal, who watched from her beachfront condo in Key Biscayne, a wealthy island village near downtown Miami.

All I can say is "wow." It's a miracle they survived the traverse, let alone not need any medical attention. Good thing they'll also be allowed to stay since they managed to set foot on ground before being intercepted. Of course, some Castro lovers here are just gonna dismiss this incident and still keep pretending that people don't want to flee their paradise island.
