I went Verizon-less 6 months ago. We went DirecTV and cable-DSL. And, no land line. We save about $100 per month, and the only difference is, DSL is slower than fiber optic, but I can live with that. I've never felt like reaching through a phone and strangling someone, than when I was dealing with Dish Network "customer service".
