consider that management is used to seeing union leadership representing and assisting members in a variety of ways. The members pay dues to have help and guidance from union leadership. And, besides offering some moral support for her, this may offer you a personal experience that may help you to be a better steward.

I sincerely wish you both the best of luck and let us know what you decide and how the member fairs on her request.
