3. If we use fuel to get our power, we are living on our capital and exhausting it rapidly.

Loves me some Tesla.

The traditional distinction between energy sources is between renewables and nonrenewables.

But a better breakdown, IMHO, distinguishes fuel-based versus non-fuel-based sources.

Thus, wind, solar, and hydro, which have no fuel to extract, process, transport, and waste-management, stand apart from the rest.

I don't, however, mind methane recovery and cellulosic ethanol, where it truly makes sense.

Corn fuel, no thanks.
