2. That was my thinking about New Orleans after Katrina

I know people who left for good and others who went back to rebuild.
I certainly understand that sense of place. Particularly such a unique
community as can be found in New Orleans. And who knows how long
it will be before the rising sea makes it unlivable.

I don't live on the water so really can't
say how I'd respond. It might take a couple of mini disasters to scare
me off, but I do think it wouldn't take me long to give it up to nature
and move inland.
