(4,987 posts)19. The strongest global warming we know of took place
thousands of years back which was strong enough to melt several miles thick glaciers of ice sitting on top of where Chicagoland is today, during the last ice age, and formed the great lakes, the largest body of fresh water on earth. I can guarantee 100% that one was not man made. My best guess is man could be contributing to global warming but it's effect is minuscule in comparison to natural cycles. The Sun is 1,300,000 times larger than earth's volume. We are like a pimple on a bull elephant's azz.
