or change my pronoun until I feel it is safe to do so.
I don't feel safe at the moment and it may be a few years until I can be open about it.
Hopefully, I can sometime in my life.
But on topic, If a person identifies themselves as a particular sex or none then we should treat them in the appropriate manner. It is a matter of respect for a human being.
