They have plenty of movies and TV shows in English. While I personally have no problem with subtitles, I understand others may not like them.

There is a French TV show that I watched the first season of, reading the subtitles. The second season, no subtitles. My French, alas, isn't that good.

I think that many of the foreign language DVDs offer dubbed tracks, but I'm happy reading, so I don't bother.

Oh, also, sometimes I just cannot quite catch what someone is saying in English when watching something, and then I'll briefly turn on the subtitles in English to see what they're saying. Quite useful.

Also, I'm always watching on my computer, and there's a little icon to click on at the bottom of the screen that can instantly give me subtitles. Nice.
