6. Dogs do have a sense of time.

My 14 year old mutt was very upset on Monday when his dinner came an hour late due to the time change. I have had the power go out in the past and my dogs would always wake me up on time. Time is relative though and since their lives are so short compared to ours, they're not good at waiting. As for the car rides, most of my dogs loved the car because they always associated it with going to the dog park. Some dogs hate the car because the only place they ever go in it is to the vet. I had one dog that loved the car so much he would jump into the drivers seat and put his paws on the steering wheel if I left the door open.
