to do a long 4-mile walk. When I dog sit others that won't defecate for the life of them after going nearly a mile--despite having been fed and having gone all night long, I really have to wonder. My dogs KNOW that "holding" it is definitely NOT going to be to their advantage. Never had one be "persnickety" in this respect
