I posted something on Fakebook after Renee Good's murder listing at least 20 people that ICE killed last year and posed the question, "Notice a pattern?" All but two of the names on that list were quite clearly people of color. The uncomfortable truth is that white people are really good at ignoring a problem until it starts to affect them personally (and I say that as a very embarrassed member of that group). We'd do well to remember the poem: "First they came for..."
