13. Nah, they're just upset because the move in the nation

is towards more gun rights, not less, and they can't stand it.

They don't understand that the Democratic Party is a party of inclusion, not exclusion. Unless you believe as they do, in their minds you're not a "good" Democrat.

Things evolve over time. Almost no Democrats supported the Thirteenth Amendment, and none supported the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments. Now we are the party that stands up for civil rights. The party moved over time because it was the right thing to do.

Now, with concealed carry available in all of the states, and "shall issue" laws dominating, those who wish to take away our choice to defend ourselves, our families, and our homes are growing more and more insignificant. They don't like that, so instead of debating on the issues, resort to inaccurate, skewed data and casting aspersions on those who disagree with them.

They want a litmus test to see if you are exactly like them, and if not, they have no place in the party for you.

I reject that reasoning and believe that there is a place for everyone in the party, that is what distinguishes us from the Republicans, and that is what makes our party stronger. We have to listen to the people, and standing up for a vote to determine what the people think is not something that Democrats should be afraid of.
